What can you tell me about the Port Angeles/Olympia area? - olympia hiking
I am in the transition from Ohio to Port Angeles, interested / Olympia area. I did some online research, but I'm interested in hearing from people who live there. Which region? Is there really more rain than snow? Is there anything such as hiking and fishing for fun? It looks so beautiful, I think I like it there.

First, you must be aware that in Port Angeles and Olympia are located approximately 119 miles. Port Angeles, on the northern tip of the Olympic Peninsula and is a relatively small city. Olympia is the state capital and is located at the southern end of Puget Sound. I live in the Seattle metropolitan area is very humid here, especially on the peninsula. The peninsula is the only temperate rainforest in North America is on average about 113 mm of rain per year, on average, about 51 centimeters Olympic year. We snow is rare - I think it was snow a few times last year, where I live. We are bad enough storm - Hurricane types of winter outside in the Pacific, which lost power for four days here in the last December. If you put in the time, is a great place.
How to do things, especially in Seattle, much of it is somewhat rural in a sense - many small town festivals and others. Seattle jazz scene, if there enjoying something you. Washington is proud of its origin, many of which are closely allied with the Nativeand American peoples who were here before the European settlers. Logging and forest, wildlife, environmental management and other activities in the natural world are linked more a part of the culture. Activities that have to do with the learning of all kinds, very important, as well as boating and festivals such as Seafair in July. Is this the kind of life that is to you, you alone can decide.
