Temperature & respiration of goldfish- how would this influence their behavior in an ecosystem? - fish respiration lab

Hello everybody
I recently completed a laboratory, such as temperature affects the respiration rate of goldfish. I learned that the respiration per minute with increasing temperature by oxygen levels.
Now I have to explain how a change in the breathing rate of fish can affect their behavior within an ecosystem.
Ideas?
